A New Synthesis

The quick and dirty aspects that define the nature of OM Yoga Life is simply the claim that Yoga practiced in a modern western context is not is not simply a practice that "brings yogic wisdom to the west." Instead, yoga is seen as having a long held a position that transcends both eastern wisdom and western metaphysics.

East / West Synthesis

While not as solid as it may once have been, the dividing line between the Eastern and Western contexts continues to be a stumbling block for any real integrated system of thought that takes into account the incredible feats of human capacity that has made the human race what it is today. 

• Background: Engaging with the various historical traditions within their own context while recognizing their importance to modern models of thought 
• Style vs. Tradition vs. Philosophy vs. Movement: To fully embody a discussion regarding the contexts in which  
• Style and Practice:
• Transition: Often what is as important as understanding the major movements and their philosophies is the reasons these shift in and out of favor.
• Web: In many ways western thought wants to dissect and differentiate philosophical movements into pieces, while Eastern thought around the same topic gives us a model that suggests something that cannot be considered in a separated nature. The concept of the jeweled web of Indra may be the most apt way of considering the means by which thought can be fully grasped with out a strict east / west bias.

• (J17) Select your preset from Show Presets, configure and save.
